The Signature Experience: Tournament of Kings

Tournament of Kings is a medieval dinner show staged in a 900-seat arena designed as King Arthur's round table. Guests dine on a meal eaten entirely with their hands, as was the custom in the Middle Ages, while knights on horseback joust, sword fight, and compete in equestrian games. The show features real horses, pyrotechnics, and a cast of over 30 performers. Running since 1991, it is one of the longest-running dinner shows in Las Vegas history.

The Tournament of Kings arena uses 6 tons of dirt shipped in specifically for the show, replaced regularly. The horses are stabled on-site, and the knights are trained equestrians who perform their own stunts. The show has served over 10 million Cornish game hens, the signature main course.

Architecture and Design

Excalibur is designed as a storybook medieval castle, complete with white turrets, crenellated battlements, a moat, and a working drawbridge entrance. At 28 stories, it was the largest hotel in the world when it opened in 1990. The castle's facade features illuminated knight imagery, dragon sculptures, and Arthurian-themed decorative elements. Inside, the medieval theme extends to the main floor with castle-keep design elements, stained-glass accents, and staff in period costumes.
